The Story of the Mosaic Art Project
Dream Vision and its team of student volunteers had the idea of a collaborative effort to create a photo mosaic picture in conjunction with the Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum. They envisioned the image to highlight the goodwill and energy that has been the strength behind the Tohoku Tsunami Disaster recovery. SAM suggested the coat design of Kosuke Tsumura called Final Home. 1938 pictures of people and their goodwill messages including those submitted by the tsunami victims helped to recreate Final Home in this photo mosaic image. This international project took over 4 months to complete. Special thanks go to project sponsor JEN, PITCOM and Microsoft volunteers for helping.
